Questions, answered
Everything people ask before requesting a quote. Still unsure? Add your question to the notes of a request.
Is the quote really instant?
The request takes under a minute. Pricing a charter properly means checking real aircraft availability with operators, so your advisor emails options once they are confirmed. For a ballpark right now, use the instant estimate.
Why could the price change after I confirm?
It should not, unless the trip changes. An all-in quote is fixed for the itinerary, aircraft and passengers you confirm. A new time, an extra stop or winter de-icing can change it, and we tell you before anything is charged. More on why prices move.
Do I need an account, membership or deposit?
No. Requesting a quote is free and creates no account. You pay nothing until you pick an aircraft and sign the charter agreement.
Who actually flies the aircraft?
An FAA Part 135 operator, or a foreign equivalent, that holds operational control. Instant Charter Quote is the broker that arranges the flight, and the operator is named on your quote.
Can I bring my dog, skis or golf clubs?
Usually, yes. Mention them in the notes: pets need the operator's approval, and bulky items affect which aircraft fits. See bags, pets and skis.
Can I book one-way or multi-city trips?
Yes. Choose the trip type in the first step. For multi-city trips, list the extra legs and dates in the notes.
Which airports can I fly from?
Private flights use private terminals at many airports airlines do not serve, such as Teterboro or Van Nuys. Type a city or airport code and your advisor will suggest the best options at each end.
How accurate is the instant estimate?
It is a planning figure: estimated flight time multiplied by the typical hourly range for the category. Real quotes add repositioning, taxes and fees and reflect the specific aircraft available, so they can sit above or below the range.
Can I ask for a specific aircraft or operator?
Yes. Add it to the notes. If that aircraft is available we will quote it, and if not we will suggest the closest alternatives.
What is an empty leg?
A one-way repositioning flight that an operator sells at a discount, often 25 to 75% off. The route and time are fixed, and the flight can be cancelled if the original trip changes, so empty legs suit flexible travellers.
What does an all-in quote include?
Flight time, repositioning, the 7.5% federal excise tax on domestic US flights, segment fees, and the landing, handling, crew and overnight costs known when we quote. De-icing, special catering and Wi-Fi are listed when they apply.
Ready for real numbers?
Send the trip and an advisor will email aircraft options with an all-in price.
